What happens if a user's device isn't powerful enough to run inference locally?

Loc.ai includes automatic hybrid routing. If a device doesn't meet the threshold you set, requests fall back to cloud inference seamlessly — same API, same response format. Most products see 60–80% of requests handled locally even with a conservative threshold.

How does billing work for PAYG usage?

Additional devices, registry storage, and egress beyond your plan's included allowance are billed monthly in arrears at the rates shown above.
